About Us
The ninth hour is the one that decides the day.
Sleep through it well and everything after feels manageable. Miss it and you carry that with you until night comes round again. We named the shop after it because that hour is the whole point of what we sell.
What we stock
The9thHour is a small online shop for the bedroom. Not the furniture and not the fittings, but the softer layer on top of it — the things you actually touch when you are trying to wind down.
- Blankets and throws — sherpa, faux fur, knitted, cotton gauze, and the lighter cooling weaves for summer.
- Pillows — goose down, memory foam, latex, buckwheat and herbal fills, plus the covers and inserts that go with them.
- Sleepwear — satin and silk nightgowns, cotton and fleece pyjama sets, loungewear, and slippers for the walk to the kitchen at 2am.
- Sleep accessories — silk eye masks, blackout curtains, white noise machines, aroma diffusers, lavender oils and candles.
How we choose things
Everything here is picked one item at a time. We are not a marketplace and we do not list a product simply because it exists — the range is deliberately small enough that someone has looked at every listing on it.
What that means in practice: no fifteen near-identical versions of the same blanket, no filler, and no sizes or colours listed that you cannot actually order.
Shipping, honestly
We work with specialist suppliers rather than holding stock ourselves, which is how a shop this size can carry this much range. The trade-off is delivery time. Most orders arrive in one to three weeks. A few made-to-order items — the custom-size curtains in particular — take longer, and the estimate on the product page is the one to trust.
If you need something by a specific date, message us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.
Getting in touch
We are a small operation and we read everything that comes in. If an order goes wrong, tell us — we would much rather hear about it than have you quietly never come back.
Questions, sizing help, or something you wish we stocked: use the contact page and we will get back to you.
