3D Memory Foam Sleep Mask

Contoured rather than flat. The 3D shape of this mask arches over the eyes, leaving room for the lashes and letting you open your eyes underneath it, while the moulded edges seal against the face to cut out light from the sides and around the nose bridge. The supplier rates the blockout at around ninety-nine per cent, which is what you feel in a bright room.

The surface combines mulberry silk with lycra, smooth against the skin and stretchy enough to fit without pinching, and the interior is filled with memory foam that softens under pressure and holds the contour steadily in place. It is light on the face for how substantial it looks, and the strap adjusts to sit above the ears rather than pressing on them. Three size and colour options are listed.

Use it to make a bright bedroom, a long-haul flight or a daytime rest more comfortable; it is a comfort accessory and not a remedy for any sleep condition. Spot clean the silk face with cool water and a mild detergent, avoid soaking the foam core, and let it air dry fully in the shade before storing it flat so the moulded contour keeps its shape over time.
