Beige Neutral Cushion Cover

Some cushions are there to be looked at, and some are there to make everything else look better. This one is the second kind. It is a plain beige cover in a warm, slightly soft neutral, chosen because it sits alongside almost any furniture without competing with it. Grey sofas, oak frames, dark leather, painted walls in any of the usual colours: beige reads as a pause between them rather than another voice in the conversation.

Three sizes are offered so you can build depth rather than a flat row. The 45 by 45 centimetre square is the standard sofa size, the 50 by 50 centimetre gives a fuller, more relaxed shape at the back of a seat, and the 30 by 50 centimetre lumbar is the one you actually lean against. Mixed together across a sofa or the head of a bed, the three sizes stop an arrangement looking like a showroom display.

The cover is supplied on its own and the pillow insert is not included, which keeps the price down when you already have pads that are perfectly good. Check the measurements of your existing insert before ordering, and choose the matching size or one slightly smaller for a plumper finish. Use them on a sofa, across a bed, or on a single armchair, and swap in something bolder alongside when you want a change.
