Cool-Touch Summer Blanket

A thin, double-sided summer blanket woven from cool-touch fibre, in a plain grey that suits most bedrooms. The point of this fabric is the immediate contact feel: it draws heat away from the skin quickly, so the first moment under it is cool rather than warm, and it keeps that smooth, dry handle instead of turning clammy an hour later the way a cotton sheet often does.

Both faces are finished the same way, so there is no wrong side and no reason to flip it over at two in the morning hunting for a cooler patch. It is light enough to use on its own in an air-conditioned room, and thin enough to lie over a sheet without adding the bulk of a quilt. It also folds down small, so it stores at the end of the bed or packs into a case.

Treat it as a comfort layer rather than a medical product: it feels cool, it breathes well, and that is the whole of the benefit. Care is simple. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, avoid bleach and high heat, and hang it or tumble dry low so the fibres keep their smooth finish. Handled that way it holds up season after season as the summer cover you reach for first.
