Halloween Flannel Throw Blanket

A flannel throw printed with pumpkins and ghosts, made for the stretch of autumn when the evenings get dark early and the house wants decorating without a full seasonal overhaul. Draped over the back of a couch it does the decorative work of a much larger effort, and it is still a genuinely warm blanket rather than a prop, so it stays useful right through the season and past it.

Three sizes are available: 120 by 160 centimetres as a personal lap throw, 150 by 180 centimetres for a sofa or a single bed, and 175 by 200 centimetres when you want it to cover a double bed or two people on the couch. Choose the smallest for a desk or a reading chair, the largest for a movie night, and expect the same brushed flannel surface at every size.

Flannel warms up quickly, which is the point on a cold October night, and it is light enough that it does not pin you to the sofa. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low and avoid bleach so the print keeps its contrast. Because each blanket is hemmed after cutting, the finished piece may vary by roughly two to three centimetres from the listed size, which is within normal tolerance.
